I got a new planner this year and so I started a series that I’m titling “A Glimpse Into My Planner”.
Each month* I’m giving you a glimpse of what’s been happening, because I now keep EVERYTHING in this planner since there is a space for EVERYTHING.
Just to recap:
Each day not only has lines for my to do list, it also has 3 sections that I love:
- The Big 3 – This helps me prioritize. What 3 things MUST I get done today?
- Wellness – Daily workouts.
- Gratitude – 3 things for which I’m grateful on that given day.
I also make note of things the Lord shows me during my daily quiet time.
This new planner has reduced my desk by 3 books, and I have it all in one place and I love it. I also love going back through my month to see what worked, what didn’t, what I got done, what I still need to do and so on.
April was a really full month!

Let’s face it. Not everyone is a morning person. But the morning comes everyday and most of our responsibilities, be it a job, school, parenting, etc., require us to get up and get going in the mornings.
Although I would classify myself as a morning person, mornings still don’t come super easy for me. Many days I’d much rather hit the snooze and skip the entire morning. But I’ve been doing this enough that I know as soon as my feet hit the floor, things start looking up.
I’m not going to try to convert you into a morning person, but I can help you develop a morning routine that will get your day started a little better than it might be right now.
For starters, a good morning begins the night before. In fact, much of my preparation for a good day starts the prior evening.

It’s time to come clean about a few things.
Speaking of clean, I don’t eat that way.
I eat chocolate everyday. Pretty much everyday anyway. In fact, I can’t recall the last time I didn’t eat chocolate on a given day. I often have a Hershey Kiss or two….or three…with my coffee sometime in the morning.
I do have a sweet tooth and I’m taming it the best way that I can. And one way is not to totally deprive it. Allowing myself to eat chocolate everyday helps me not go on an all out binge.
