I got a new planner this year. And I’m loving it!
It’s a Kitlife planner, and I won it as part of Nicole Culver’s planning party. I had looked at these planners before but never purchased so I was super excited to win!
In my days as a home-based counselor, I carried my Franklin Covey everywhere. I’m a pen and paper kind of gal. I have a wall calendar for our family and I keep lists of what I have to do. I use my calendar on my iphone but only as a bonus calendar.
So, I thought I’d do a series this year where I give you a glimpse into my planner each month, because it’s more than appointments and to do lists!
First I have to tell you the great things about the Kitlife planner (and before you think I’m getting paid to write this, please don’t. There are no affiliate links in this post and winning the planner had no conditions about sharing it. Now that we have that cleared up! 😉 )
accountability, freedom, goals, Planner
We’re celebrating freedom this week. I’m proud to be an American. While I have enjoyed this freedom from birth, I’ve not always lived in freedom as it relates to my health and fitness.
So Why Fit and Free?
It was something I always longed for. Several years ago all I did was chase freedom. When I would see the word, I’d perk up. I would read anything that boasted ways to be free.
4th of July, faith, fitness, freedom
It’s summer! Sun is shining. Days are getting longer. But for some reason you find yourself in a funk. Dealing with discouragement just as we’re heading into summer? How can that be?
Times of discouragement come when we least expect them. And it may be nothing more than a couple rainy days, and the feeling will pass when the sun comes out. Other times we just find ourselves in a funk. If you’re like me, you like schedules and predictability. Summer can be far from that. There are vacations. Alarm clocks aren’t set every morning. Activities. So many things to do and so little time.
This time of unexplained discouragement and slump makes me think of the first Easter. Palm Sunday seemed like the day of celebration but we know the dark days that followed. There were days of sadness and despair. There was quiet. We know the end of the story, but on that first Good Friday, they didn’t know the end of the story. They knew the prophecies, but were they true?
