October is National Cookbook Month!
I love all kinds of cookbooks. I love ones with healthy recipes and those with fully indulgent recipes. And what about the pictures? I especially like cookbooks that have pictures so I have a clue what I’m trying to make.
Now, I don’t claim to be a fabulous cook. In fact, I’m pretty plain when it comes to my tastes. I am happy eating the same thing most of the time, but my family not so much. Still I don’t do a great job with variety and flavor.
Stress? Everybody knows what it is. It’s part of life. The way we handle stress translates into how we treat our bodies.
Among many faith and fitness platforms there’s this concept of Temple vs Trash Can. It’s not my original idea. But the idea here is how do we treat our bodies? Do we treat them like the temple that they are? Or do we treat them like a trash can?

Taste then Toss? Seriously? Throw away perfectly good food? Maybe. Possibly. If you can, freeze it! Or share it. But if not, toss it!
One thing you will never hear me tell you is that any food or food group is off limits. (unless, of course, you have a medical reason) My approach to health and fitness is that you have to like what you eat and how you move or you’ll never be successful. But that also doesn’t mean to sit on the couch and eat bon bons.
This is what I will tell you:
